Full Circle Brew Co

This Fruit Beer takes the brewery's flagship India Pale Ale base and amplifies its citrus profile with a massive addition of fresh grapefruit juice and zest. The resulting sensory experience is dominated by an intense, pithy grapefruit character that integrates seamlessly with the tropical hop profile of the original Looper recipe. The beer presents a vibrant, hazy appearance with an aroma that leaps from the glass, showcasing zesty citrus oils and underlying notes of mango and passion fruit. On the palate, the bright acidity of the juice provides a refreshing sharpness, balanced by a soft, pillowy malt backbone and a clean, resinous bitterness that lingers into a dry finish.

Appearance. SRM 4-6. Hazy, pale gold to light orange with an opaque quality. Dense, frothy off-white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Immediate and powerful notes of fresh grapefruit zest and pith dominate. Underlying tropical hop aromas of mango and pineapple are present, supported by a low, bready malt character. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters beyond the fruit.

Taste. Initial impression is a bright, tart burst of grapefruit juice. Mid-palate reveals layers of citrus oil and resinous hops. The bitterness is firm but balanced, derived from both the grapefruit zest and the base India Pale Ale hopping. The finish is dry and crisp as the fruit sugars have fermented out, leaving a lingering, refreshing citrus bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, slightly creamy texture characteristic of the hazy base style. Moderate carbonation provides a lively prickle on the tongue. A light alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with no astringency despite the high zest content.
