This Double IPA radiates an intense hop-forward character, defined by a sophisticated blend of BRU-1, Mosaic BBC, Nelson, and Krush Cryo. Aromatic waves of ripe pineapple and pungent white grape lead into a saturated palate of tropical mango, guava, and citrus zest. The lean, grainy malt base allows the complex hop oils to dominate without the weight of heavy caramel. A firm but smooth bitterness cuts through the 8.4% ABV, while the finish remains crisp and dry. It exemplifies the modern strong ale, balancing high-impact fruitiness with a clean fermentation and refreshing drinkability.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7–9 SRM) with a persistent, dense white head leaving sticky lacing. Displays good clarity, though a very slight dry-hop haze is present.
Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by fresh pineapple, passion fruit, and diesel-tinged white grape. Background notes of crushed berries and citrus zest are supported by a neutral, cracker-like malt sweetness. No solventy alcohol or heavy esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical mango and guava followed by resinous pine. The malt flavor is low, clean, and grainy, providing a soft platform for the hops. Bitterness is moderately high but remains smooth and non-astringent. The finish is medium-dry and crisp with a lingering, fruity, and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. A restrained and pleasant alcohol warmth is noticeable but lacks any harshness or burning.
