FrauGruber Brewing

Happy Soup is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases the potent interplay of Mosaic and Citra hops. Expect an explosion of tropical and citrus fruit, where Mosaic drives notes of blueberry and overripe mango, while Citra adds a bright splash of grapefruit and lime zest. The appearance is characteristically opaque with a soft, glowing hue. On the palate, the hop intensity is high, yet balanced by a gentle, bready malt backbone and a creamy, pillowy mouthfeel. This beer exemplifies the juicy character of the style, finishing with a restrained bitterness and a lingering, fruity resonance.

Appearance. Straw to golden (3-6 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous shine; no visible particulates. Large, rocky, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit) and citrus (tangerine, grapefruit). Light bready, grainy malt in the background. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters that complement the hop profile.

Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors mirroring the aroma: peach, melon, and citrus. Low to medium-low bitterness that is smooth and never sharp. Malt flavor is low, primarily neutral and bready. Off-dry finish with a lingering tropical hop aftertaste and no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, silky, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very low alcohol warmth consistent with its 5.5% ABV. No astringency or raw starch texture.
