NEIPA - New England IPA 6.6 º
As We Enter is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a luminous collaboration between Floc and Rivington. The sensory experience is dominated by a lush, tropical bouquet driven by a triple threat of Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, and Citra hops. Expect an explosion of crushed white grape and gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin, complemented by the intense pink grapefruit and passionfruit punch of Riwaka. Citra rounds out the profile with layers of ripe mango and zesty lime. A soft, pillowy malt base provides a supportive, bready foundation, allowing the hop-derived juiciness to take center stage with a smooth, restrained bitterness and a plush, tropical finish.
Appearance. Straw to light golden orange with a brilliant, opaque haze that creates a characteristic glow. It is topped with a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct notes of passionfruit, white grape, and crushed gooseberry. Ripe mango and bright grapefruit citrus follow, supported by a low, doughy, and lightly bready malt character. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High to very high tropical fruit flavors of papaya and peach, followed by mid-palate notes of lime zest and sauvignon blanc-like grape. The malt flavor is low and grainy, while the perceived bitterness is moderate but soft and well-integrated. It concludes with an off-dry, smooth finish and a lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and rounded texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a juice-like quality. There is a light, clean alcohol warmth and no detectable astringency or harshness.
