This Double IPA presents a masterful showcase of Nectaron, Citra, and Superdelic hops, resulting in a sensory profile vibrating with intensity. The aroma is dominated by a concentrated bouquet of stone fruits—specifically nectarine and peach—intertwined with the tropical punch of passion fruit and mango. Citra contributes a bright grapefruit zest that cuts through the hop saturation, while Superdelic adds a unique candy-like red fruit depth. The malt character is intentionally lean and neutral, providing a crisp, cracker-like foundation that ensures the hops remain the focus. It finishes remarkably dry with a firm, lingering bitterness and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Features a dense, persistent off-white head that leaves thick, soapy lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent nectarine, peach, and passion fruit notes. Secondary layers of grapefruit, lime, and a hint of tropical red berries are present. The malt is low and neutral-grainy, providing a clean backdrop for the complex fruit esters and hop oils.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and stone fruit flavors, primarily mango and nectarine. The mid-palate reveals a firm, clean hop bitterness that is assertive but lacks harshness. Malt flavors are low, suggesting pale crackers or white bread. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and citrus peel aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively mouth-filling sensation. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present at 8% ABV but remains smooth and well-integrated.
