Elusive Brewing

This refreshing German Pils interpretation showcases a bright, straw-hued pour with brilliant clarity. The use of 100% British Lager malt provides a clean, grainy-sweet foundation that supports the distinctive Yakima Valley Citra hops. Expect a bouquet of light citrus zest and delicate floral notes rather than the traditional herbal spice. On the palate, a crisp, cracker-like maltiness is immediately met by a firm, refreshing bitterness that leads to a snap-dry finish. Effervescent and lean, it balances modern hop character with old-world precision, delivering a quenching, citrus-tinted profile that remains rooted in lager tradition.

Appearance. Deep straw color (3 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a dense, creamy white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a clean, grainy-sweet malt character. Hop presence is forward with subtle citrus tones of lemon peel and lime zest from the Citra hops, layered over a low floral background. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no sulfur or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial flavors of crisp, doughy malt and toasted cracker are quickly overtaken by a medium-high hop bitterness. The flavor profile highlights the citrus-forward hop character with notes of lime and grapefruit pith. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean bitterness.
