Glóđ is an evocative Wild Specialty Beer that marries the rustic depth of a brown ale base with the vibrant, tart snap of raspberries. The aroma is a complex tapestry of jammy red fruit interwoven with earthy wild funk and a subtle toasted malt backdrop. On the palate, a sharp but refined lactic acidity highlights the raspberry character, while notes of caramel and crusty bread from the dark malts provide a balancing structure. The finish is remarkably dry and effervescent, leaving a lingering trail of berry skins and woody tannins. It is a harmonious expression of wild fermentation and fruit integration.

Appearance. Deep mahogany to reddish-brown (SRM 18-24) with a distinct pinkish-tan tint in the foam. The head is moderate initially but dissipates somewhat quickly due to the acidic environment. Clarity is slightly hazy with a visible ruby glow when held to the light.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh, tart raspberries and red currants. The wild fermentation provides a complex layer of barnyard funk, damp hay, and a light leathery note. Malt character is present but secondary, offering hints of toasted bread and light caramel. Hop aroma is absent, and there are no noticeable fermentation byproducts like diacetyl.

Taste. The initial impression is a sharp, clean lactic sourness that quickly transitions into intense raspberry fruit flavor. Mid-palate reveals the base beer's toasted malt, cocoa, and nut-like qualities, which provide a necessary counterpoint to the acidity. Hop bitterness is very low, and hop flavor is non-existent. The finish is bone-dry and clean with a lingering, tart berry skin aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, appearing leaner than a standard brown ale due to high attenuation from wild yeast. Carbonation is high and effervescent, providing a prickly sensation on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. A light tannic astringency from the fruit skins adds structure.
