A foundation of toasty malt provides a subtle, grainy backbone that supports the assertive hop character. On the palate, a biting bitterness takes center stage, followed by resinous and berry-like flavors that linger into a crisp, dry finish. Despite its sessionable strength, it maintains the classic hop-forward balance expected of the style, offering a clean, evocative, and highly drinkable experience.
Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber with brilliant clarity. It features a medium-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves moderate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring prominent notes of resinous pine, floral gorse, and a distinct berry-like fruitiness. A medium-low toasty malt character provides a clean, grainy support. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. The flavor is hop-forward with resinous pine and floral notes leading the profile. A firm, biting bitterness is balanced by a low to medium-low toasty malt flavor. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy, bitter aftertaste and a clean fermentation character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture and no harshness. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel without any perceived alcohol warmth.
