Drop Project Phwoar is a vibrant Hazy IPA that delivers an immediate, Lilt-like aromatic surge of tropical intensity. The specific combination of Vic Secret and Strata hops provides a sharp, defined blast of ripe pineapple and pungent passionfruit. Galaxy hops round out the profile with a softer, velvety juice character. Despite its sessionable strength, the heavy use of Oats and Wheat malts creates a substantial, silky foundation that supports the massive hop load. The experience is defined by its extremely low bitterness and a clean, fruit-forward profile that emphasizes lush, tropical depth over hop resin or bite.
Appearance. Color is pale straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy glow and shine. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity tropical fruit bouquet. Dominant notes of fresh pineapple and passionfruit from Vic Secret and Strata. Soft citrus and stone fruit esters from Galaxy. Low bready and grainy malt character from the wheat and oats. Clean, neutral fermentation without esters clashing with hop oils.
Taste. Intensely fruity initial impression with layers of pineapple, mango, and passionfruit. Very low perceived bitterness allows the hop flavors to dominate without harshness. Low bready malt flavor provides a soft platform. The finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering, clean tropical juice aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable silkiness and creaminess derived from high protein grains. Moderate carbonation. Completely smooth and soft on the palate with no astringency or alcohol warmth.
