This American IPA presents a striking deep orange hue, bridging the gap between traditional West Coast structure and modern fruit-forward intensity. The aroma is dominated by a floral bouquet and high-intensity hop notes, driven by the distinctive inclusion of Vic Secret and Cryo Simcoe. On the palate, a soft, bready malt foundation supports layers of pineapple, passion fruit, and resinous pine. While it maintains the firm bitterness expected of the style, it leans into a juicy character that softens the finish. The result is a vibrant, 7% ABV ale that marries classic resin with contemporary tropical complexity and a clean, refreshing profile.
Appearance. Deep orange with copper highlights (10-12 SRM). Ranges from clear to a slight haze. Persistent, off-white, medium-sized head with excellent lacing and retention.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent floral notes and tropical fruit such as pineapple and passion fruit from the Vic Secret, alongside resinous pine and grapefruit from the Cryo Simcoe. Low bready and grainy maltiness supports the hops. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with tropical stone fruit and citrus. A low to medium-low bready malt flavor provides a solid backbone. High hop bitterness (approx. 60 IBU) is present but tempered by a soft fruitiness. Finish is medium-dry and clean with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, moderately creamy texture. Medium-high carbonation. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No astringency.
