Deep Creek’s Dear Rabbit is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures a festive aura through an explosion of juicy, tropical, and citrusy notes. This beer presents like a fresh fruit basket, led by aromatic waves of mango, pineapple, and bright orange zest. As a Hazy IPA, it prioritizes hop-derived fruitiness over sharp bitterness, offering a soft and approachable experience at 5.5% ABV. The grain bill provides a subtle, bready foundation that supports the intense hop saturations without competing for attention. It finishes with a clean, fruity linger that invites another sip, perfectly balancing its quiet strength with an assertive, tropical personality.
Appearance. Pours a pale straw to light gold (approx. 4 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that gives the liquid a luminous shine. It is crowned by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity and fruit-forward, dominated by tropical aromas of guava and passionfruit alongside sweet citrus notes resembling tangerine. A very low, neutral, grainy-sweet malt character sits in the background, while the fermentation profile remains clean with subtle fruity esters that complement the hops.
Taste. The flavor profile is a concentrated fruit basket of peach, mango, and ruby grapefruit. A low to medium-low perceived bitterness is present but softly integrated, never becoming harsh. The malt provides a light, bready support, leading into a smooth, off-dry finish where the tropical hop character lingers pleasantly.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a soft, pillowy texture that avoids any mineral or acidic harshness. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel. At 5.5% ABV, there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
