This celebratory Imperial Stout delivers a decadent sensory journey, defined by an intensive aging period in Four Roses and Woodford Rye barrels. It opens with an indulgent profile reminiscent of a liquid brownie, characterized by deep layers of milk chocolate and toasted macadamia nuts. The 24-month barrel rest introduces complex nuances of spicy rye, charred oak, and vanilla, which meld seamlessly with the rich, roasty malt base. Expect a sophisticated interplay between the oily, nutty character of the macadamia and the warming bourbon spirit, concluding in a velvety, lingering finish of cocoa and dark caramel.

Appearance. Jet black and fully opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a dense, dark tan to mocha-colored head that exhibits moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through thick legs clinging to the glass.

Aroma. Intensity is high and multifaceted. Dominant notes of toasted macadamia nuts and dark chocolate brownie prevail, supported by a significant barrel influence. High notes of vanilla, spicy rye grain, and charred oak from the barrels. Subtle background esters of black cherry and fig complement the roasted coffee and burnt sugar malt character.

Taste. Initial impression is exceptionally rich and dessert-like.
