Blonde Ale 5.2 º
This Märzen presents a refined amber-copper hue, signaling a sophisticated malt-forward experience. Crafted with four distinct types of malt, the sensory profile is defined by rich layers of toasted bread crust and subtle caramel sweetness. German noble hops provide a delicate floral and spicy counterpoint, ensuring the aromatic presentation remains fresh and balanced. Although designated as an ale by the brewer, the palate follows the elegant, clean traditions of a German amber lager, offering a bready complexity that transitions into a moderately dry finish. The result is a highly drinkable, medium-bodied beer where malt richness and restrained bitterness exist in perfect harmony.
Appearance. Deep amber to reddish-copper in color (approx. 10–14 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Supports a persistent, dense, off-white foam stand with good lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a rich, bready, and toasty malt character with light notes of bread crust and soft caramel. Very low floral and spicy hop aroma from the use of German noble hops. Clean fermentation profile without esters.
Taste. Initial impression is one of rich maltiness, though it finishes moderately dry. Flavors of toasted bread and grain dominate the palate. Hop flavor is low with floral and herbal qualities, providing just enough balance to offset the malt. Bitterness is moderate and smooth. The aftertaste is clean and elegant, with lingering toasted malt notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notably smooth and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays good attenuation without being cloying. Alcohol warmth is very subtle and well-integrated at 5.2% ABV.
