Celestial Beerworks

Minerva is a lush and intensely aromatic Double IPA that showcases an expertly layered hop profile of Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado, and Citra Cryo. The sensory experience is led by a bold pineapple and tangerine nose, evolving into a saturated palate of tropical goodness. Flavors of fresh orange juice and sweet nectar are complemented by nuanced notes of candied pear, cantaloupe, and a distinct pink starburst sweetness. Despite its high 10% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated with a smooth warmth. A neutral malt backbone provides support without competing, while the finish remains clean with a lingering, fruity stickiness and firm, persistent bitterness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (8-10 SRM) with a moderate-sized, creamy, off-white head that demonstrates good persistence and lacing. Exhibits a slight, soft haze typical of modern heavily dry-hopped versions.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by sweet pineapple, tangerine, and tropical fruit notes. Supportive hints of cantaloupe and berry-like esters are present, backed by a very low, clean, neutral malt character and a gentle, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of sweet pineapple, nectar, and bright orange juice. Mid-palate reveals candied pear and melon, leading to a firm but smooth bitterness. The malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, allowing the hops to shine through a medium-dry finish with a lingering tropical and citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture and moderate carbonation. A noticeable but well-restrained alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
