Celestial Beerworks Electromagnetism
Electromagnetism is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies a soft, juicy profile. Built on a foundation of Pilsner malt, wheat, and flaked oats, it presents a pillowy, opaque body. The dual dry-hop of Mosaic and Idaho 7 creates an intense aromatic bouquet of ripe melon and fresh citrus. On the palate, Mosaic delivers layers of sweet clementine and orange, while Idaho 7 provides distinctive notes of fresh and candied pineapple. This combination results in a remarkably crushable experience, balancing high fruit intensity with a restrained bitterness and a refreshing, melon-forward finish that lingers gently without any harshness.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (3-5 SRM). Opaque, hazy appearance with a healthy shine. Thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by ripe melon, clementine, and fresh pineapple. Background notes of grainy-sweet Pilsner malt and a neutral fermentation profile. No hop harshness or grassiness.
Taste. Massive fruit-forward profile featuring bright orange and clementine citrus. Mid-palate brings fresh and candied pineapple. Low to medium-low bitterness that never bites. Finishes off-dry and refreshing with a persistent melon aftertaste. Malt flavor is low, primarily bready and supportive.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and plush texture derived from the flaked oats and wheat. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with minimal, well-hidden alcohol warmth.
