This Double New England IPA delivers an immersive sensory experience led by an intricate hop profile. Columbus provides a resinous, dank backbone, while Mosaic and Cryo Citra unleash intense waves of ripe mango, pink grapefruit, and blueberry. Nelson Sauvin adds a sophisticated layer of crushed white grapes and gooseberry, complemented by the unique lemon-peel and soft herbal notes of Sorachi Ace. The mouthfeel is exceptionally soft and pillowy, concealing the 8.4% ABV behind a juice-forward palate. With a creamy texture and restrained bitterness, it emphasizes massive late-addition hop saturation, resulting in a tropical, hazy profile that balances punchy aromatics with a smooth, lingering finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze. Large, persistent, creamy white head with dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical fruit (mango, pineapple), citrus (grapefruit, lemon), and white wine grapes. Subtle resinous undertones and a soft, bready malt sweetness in the background. Clean fermentation profile with no solventy alcohol.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice and citrus oil. Malt flavor is bready and supportive, providing a soft sweetness that balances the hop saturation. Hop flavors mirror the aroma with prominent blueberry, passionfruit, and gooseberry. Bitterness is moderate-low and smooth, never harsh. Finish is medium-dry and juicy with a long, fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a creamy, velvety texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that remains well-integrated. Zero hop-derived astringency.
