Aromas of charred oak, peat, and vanilla intertwine with rich dark chocolate and espresso. On the palate, the velvety sweetness of the milk stout base is countered by firm bitterness and the complex spirit character of the dual barrel treatment. It concludes with a lingering, warming finish of fudge and toasted coconut, embodying a sophisticated, barrel-forward profile.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, persistent deep tan head that leaves significant lacing. High viscosity is apparent through noticeable legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by rich dark chocolate and Ecuadorian cacao nibs, followed by complex barrel notes of vanilla, toasted American Oak, and a subtle whisper of Scotch peat. Robust roasted malt scents of espresso and charred grain provide a solid backbone, complemented by dark fruit esters like raisins and prunes. Warm alcohol is present but well-integrated.

Taste. The initial impression is a luxurious blend of bittersweet chocolate and creamy sweetness from the milk stout base. Strong roasted flavors of coffee and dark malt are layered with the spirituous depth of Scotch and Bourbon. Mid-palate reveals charred oak and vanilla. Bitterness is firm but balanced by the residual sugar and cacao richness. The finish is long and warming, showing complex notes of fudge, dried fruit, and a touch of smoky wood.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, chewy, and exceptionally velvety due to the lactose and high gravity. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant but smooth alcohol warmth provides a comforting glow without being harsh. Minimal astringency despite the heavy roast and wood contact.
