At 5% ABV and 12°Blg, this New Zealand Pilsner delivers a vibrant, hop-forward experience that bridges the gap between traditional lager drinkability and modern aromatic intensity. A neutral, bready malt foundation allows the characteristic southern hemisphere hop profile to shine, bursting with notes of white grapefruit, lime, and tropical gooseberry reminiscent of a fine Sauvignon Blanc. The profile is clean and remarkably smooth, favoring a soft mouthfeel over sharp crispness. With a firm but integrated bitterness and an off-dry finish, Noho offers a refreshing, elegant showcase of New Zealand’s unique terroir in a brilliantly clear, golden pour.
Appearance. Straw to yellow-gold in color (3-5 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It features a creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Medium-high hop intensity showcasing tropical fruit, citrus lime, and white grapefruit, along with a distinct gooseberry and honeydew melon character. A light grassy aspect is present. Supported by medium-low bready and crackery malt notes. Clean fermentation with no esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of melon, gooseberry, and tropical fruit. Medium-low bready and grainy-sweet malt flavors provide a sturdy backbone. Bitterness is high and clean, never harsh, dominating the balance into a lingering, bitter aftertaste. The finish is dry to off-dry and very smooth.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a signature smoothness on the palate. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing prickle without becoming biting or astringent. No alcohol warmth.
