Brouwerij Kestemont Abrikoos presents a masterful synergy between 300 grams of succulent apricot flesh per liter and intensely characterful one-year-old lambic. This Fruit Lambic pours with a luminous golden-orange hue, inviting a sensory journey defined by the heady aroma of sun-ripened stone fruit integrated with classic barnyard funk and wild lactic acidity. Four months of barrel fermentation on the fruit imparts a sophisticated depth, where the natural sweetness of the apricots beautifully rounds out the sharp, puckering tartness of the base. The result is a vibrant, sparkling union of earthy complexity and juicy fruit essence, finishing bone-dry and refreshingly crisp.

Appearance. Luminous golden-orange with a slight hazy sheen from the apricot solids. Features a thick, rocky, mousse-like white head with moderate to high retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of freshly sliced and fermented apricots. The fruit is layered over a complex lambic foundation of lactic sourness, damp hay, horse blanket, and a subtle, dusty oak woodiness.

Taste. The palate is greeted by an immediate, sharp tartness balanced by the fleshy, stone-fruit sweetness of apricots. A complex wild character follows, offering notes of lemon zest and earthy funk. The finish is very dry and acidic, with a lingering fermented fruit aftertaste. Bitterness is nearly imperceptible.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, lively carbonation that provides a prickly, sparkling sensation. Notable tart, puckering acidity without harshness. Very low alcohol warmth and a crisp, mouth-watering quality.
