This Specialty IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile that balances bold hop character with an intriguing savory sweetness. Aromas of tropical fruit and citrus lead the way, while a unique undercurrent of caramel and a subtle hint of salinity from the added sea salt provide a complex counterpoint. The body is medium-light and refreshing, appearing as a brilliant gold-yellow in the glass. The caramel notes lend a rounded depth that softens the firm hop punch without becoming cloying, resulting in a creative, well-integrated brew that finishes with a crisp, slightly mineral bitterness typical of its award-winning lineage.
Appearance. Gold-yellow (SRM 5–7); clear with a slight haze. Moderate white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop aroma featuring tropical fruit, citrus, and resinous notes. Low grainy-sweet malt character with a distinct background of caramel and a subtle, clean mineral scent suggesting sea salt. Clean fermentation profile with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with citrus and stone fruit flavors. Low to medium malt flavor provides a base of light caramel and toffee. The addition of sea salt contributes a noticeable but integrated salinity that enhances the malt sweetness and brightens the medium-high hop bitterness. Finish is off-dry with a lingering balance of hop resin, light caramel, and a touch of salt.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light alcohol warmth. Low astringency with a slightly slick feel on the palate from the salt integration.
