This American IPA offers a bright, spring-focused sensory experience, specifically crafted as a refreshing session-strength ale. The use of whole hop flowers produces an intense aromatic profile dominated by fresh citrus zest and tropical passion fruit, complemented by subtle floral notes. Despite its light 3.8% ABV, the beer maintains a hop-forward balance with a lean, crackery malt foundation. On the palate, vibrant fruit flavors lead into a crisp, firm bitterness and a clean, dry finish. Designed for high drinkability in the sun, it captures the essence of a blossoming landscape through its vivid hop character and refreshing finish.
Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM) with a slight, inviting haze. Features a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with clear notes of grapefruit, orange peel, and passion fruit. A delicate floral perfume is present, supported by a low, clean, grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward, featuring prominent citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Low, crackery malt sweetness provides a brief support before a firm, hop-derived bitterness takes over. The balance remains hoppy through a very dry, clean finish with a lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high and lively. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present.
