This assertive American IPA delivers a high-impact West Coast experience, characterized by a bright, resinous punch and deep citrus saturation. The hop profile is driven by a potent quartet: Citra and Mosaic provide foundational layers of ripe mango and zesty orange, while Talus Lupomax adds an intense pink grapefruit nuance. Krush completes the bouquet with sharp, dank pine notes and additional tropical depth. A lean, clean malt base allows the aggressive bitterness to cut through with precision, leading to a crisp, dry finish. It is a vibrant, aromatic ale that balances tropical exuberance with classic evergreen bitterness.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (7-10 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows good persistence and leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of zesty orange, mango, and resinous pine. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness in the background. Fermentation profile is neutral and clean, allowing the complex hop characteristics to dominate.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. High hop bitterness is firm and clean, supported by a low, crackery malt presence. Flavors of grapefruit, pine, and stone fruit lead into a medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. No harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
