BrewDog’s Almost Famous is a vibrant Hazy IPA that leads with a lush, tropical intensity. A heavy dry-hop regimen featuring Citra, Simcoe, and Cascade creates a layered bouquet of ripe stone fruit, zesty citrus, and a subtle floral edge. The inclusion of oats and wheat in the grist provides a silken, opaque texture that carries the punchy notes of mango and pineapple across the palate. While a hint of fresh grass adds a bright, natural snap, the finish remains remarkably smooth and rounded. It is a quintessential modern IPA, balancing intense fruit-forward character with a soft, accessible mouthfeel.

Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (4–6 SRM) with a deep, uniform haze and a luminous glow. It supports a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick, sticky lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of passion fruit, mango, and orange zest. Distinct stone fruit notes like apricot emerge alongside a light floral and herbal lift from the Cascade. The malt provides a soft, bready, and grainy backdrop of flaked wheat and oats without any toast or caramel.

Taste. A massive explosion of tropical fruit and citrus mirrors the aroma. Initial impressions of sweet peach and grapefruit lead into a soft, doughy malt middle. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the velvety body, providing just enough structure to keep the finish from being cloying. The aftertaste is clean, emphasizing lingering fruit juice rather than hop resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture derived from the high protein content of the oats and wheat. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, creamy delivery. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 6.8%.
