This Ladara Bockbier presents a sophisticated marriage of traditional Franconian lager brewing and barrel maturation. The core Dunkles Bock profile is defined by rich Munich and Vienna malts, delivering deep bready richness and toasty Maillard complexity. Bourbon barrel aging elevates the sensory experience, layering in smooth vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of caramel sweetness that complements the base beer's subtle dark fruit undertones. Despite its 6.8% strength and wood influence, it maintains a clean lager character and a smooth, medium-full body. The experience concludes with a balanced warmth, where the sweetness of the malt and the barrel notes linger elegantly.

Appearance. Deep brown color with brilliant garnet highlights. Forms a large, creamy, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Rich, bready Munich malt dominates, accompanied by toasty overtones and rich Maillard products. Bourbon-driven notes of vanilla, oak, and light caramel integrate with very subtle dark cherry esters. Clean fermentation profile with no hop aroma.
