Guerrilla Nitro Stout offers a luxuriously smooth interpretation of the Foreign Extra Stout style. The pour reveals a deep, opaque black body crowned by a dense, cascading tan head characteristic of the nitrogenation process. Aromas of intense roasted coffee and dark chocolate dominate the profile, complemented by subtle herbal hop notes and light dark fruit esters. On the palate, the roast intensity is balanced by an exceptionally creamy mouthfeel, delivering flavors of unsweetened cocoa and lightly burnt grain. Despite the bold roast profile, the nitro-softened bitterness leads into a clean, moderately dry finish that highlights the brewery's focus on a refined, velvety texture.
Appearance. Very deep brown to black (38 SRM). Opaque clarity. Features a thick, creamy, long-lasting tan head with a fine-beaded nitro cascade and excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity roast, featuring prominent notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Subtle background of herbal hops and low dark fruit esters such as plum or prune. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression of rich roasted malt, reminiscent of coffee and bittersweet chocolate. Hop bitterness is medium-high but perceived as smooth due to the nitrogenation. Low herbal hop flavor. Finishes moderately dry with a lingering roasted grain character and cocoa aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a signature velvety, creamy texture. Carbonation is perceived as low and very fine due to the nitro process. Smooth with no astringency and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol presence.
