This collaborative American Pale Ale presents a bright, contemporary hop profile driven by the interplay of Citra and Ella hop varieties. Vibrant aromatics of tropical mango and zesty lime from the Citra are nuanced by the sophisticated spicy-floral character and subtle star anise notes of Ella. A clean, neutral malt base provides a light bready foundation that supports the moderately firm bitterness without intruding on the hop expression. Refreshing and crisp, the beer finishes dry with a lingering citrus zest, showcasing a refined, hop-forward character that emphasizes modern New World aromatics and high drinkability.
Appearance. Pale gold (6 SRM) with excellent clarity. Pours with a moderately large, white, creamy head that shows good retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate-high intensity featuring prominent tropical fruit (mango, lychee) and citrus (lime, grapefruit) from Citra, complemented by an elegant floral and spicy, almost peppery note from Ella. A low, neutral grainy maltiness provides a supportive background. Fermentation is clean with negligible yeast-derived esters.
