Birra dell’Eremo

Starlight is a meticulously crafted German Leichtbier that defies its low 2.5% alcohol content with the rustic soul of a traditional Franconian cellar beer. It pours a deep gold with soft orange hues. The sensory experience is defined by a prominent, long-lasting cereal character, driven by high-quality Pilsner and Munich malts that evoke freshly baked bread and rustic grain. On the palate, noble Hallertau hops provide a delicate, herbal counterpoint to the soft malt sweetness. This lager is exceptionally crisp and slender, yet the specific Franconian lager yeast lends a distinctive depth, resulting in a sessionable experience that is both delicate and characterfully robust.

Appearance. Deep gold with delicate orange highlights; brilliant clarity with a moderate white head showing average persistence.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a grainy-sweet, crackery malt profile with notes of fresh bread crust. Low to medium herbal and spicy hop character from the Hallertau varieties. Very clean fermentation profile with a subtle rustic yeast edge.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and clean. Low to medium grainy-sweet malt flavors reminiscent of rustic bread. Medium hop bitterness provides balance against the malt. Low to medium herbal and spicy hop flavor. Well-attenuated, dry finish with a short, clean, malty and hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light body with a slender, fast-moving texture. Moderate to high carbonation. Very smooth and well-attenuated with no perceived alcohol warmth.

Così vine descritta dal birrificio: " Si presenta color oro carico con delicate sfumature arancio. E’ stata prodotta con malti Pilsner e Monaco di origine tedesca. Per quanto riguarda la luppolatura è stato scelto un luppolo proveniente da una storica farm nell’Hallertau, regione a sud della Germania, famosa per la qualità dei suoi luppoli. Al naso predomina il cereale con un panificato gentile lungo ed intenso. In bocca è croccante e delicata con un cereale gentile e al contempo rustico."
