This celebratory Hazy IPA showcases a saturated hop profile driven by heavy additions of Citra and Simcoe. It pours with a radiant, opaque glow, releasing an intense bouquet of passionfruit, ripe mango, and zesty lime. The Simcoe adds a sophisticated layer of resinous pine and earthy citrus to the tropical dominance of the Citra. On the palate, the mouthfeel is remarkably soft and pillowy, masking a restrained bitterness with waves of juicy stone fruit and grapefruit. A delicate, bready malt backbone provides structural support without distracting from the lupulin-forward experience, finishing clean with a lingering, vibrant fruity resonance.
Appearance. Straw to light gold with a luminous, opaque haze. Features a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by mango, passionfruit, and lime citrus. Subtle resinous pine and a neutral, lightly bready malt character exist in the background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the tropical and citrus aroma. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is well-masked by a soft, off-dry finish. Malt is supportive and grainy; the aftertaste is smooth and fruity without any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristically soft, smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or raw starchiness, with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
