This Hazy IPA, a collaboration between Bereta and PINTA, delivers an saturated sensory experience driven by a heavy-handed addition of Talus, Nelson Sauvin, and Citra, including Citra CRYO. It pours with a signature opaque glow, releasing a complex bouquet of pink grapefruit and dried rose petals from the Talus, interwoven with the distinct white wine grape and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin. The palate is a lush, soft-textured medley of ripe mango and lime zest provided by Citra, supported by a subtle, grainy malt backbone. With its restrained bitterness and velvety finish, it epitomizes the modern, juice-forward hop profile.
Appearance. Straw to light orange-gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque haze with a characteristic luminescent shine. Thick, white, rocky head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics. Dominant tropical mango, lychee, and lime zest from Citra CRYO. Distinctive Nelson Sauvin notes of Sauvignon Blanc grapes and passionfruit. Talus contributes unique floral rose and herbal sage accents. Very low grainy-sweet malt character in the background; clean fermentation without esters clashing.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor featuring an explosion of mango and citrus. The mid-palate reveals Nelson Sauvin's gooseberry and white grape character alongside pink grapefruit from the Talus. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft body. Finish is smooth and off-dry with lingering tropical fruit and light floral notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Smooth and creamy, lacking any hop astringency or raw grain harshness.
