Bereta Brewing Co.

This West Coast IPA showcases a vibrant hop trifecta of Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Mosaic. It opens with an intense aromatic burst of crushed gooseberry, tropical passion fruit, and bright citrus zest, underpinned by a subtle resinous pine. On the palate, the hop-forward profile delivers layers of grapefruit and white grape skin over a lean, clean-fermenting malt base. True to its name, it finishes remarkably crisp with a firm, lingering bitterness. The interplay of high-quality hops and a stripped-back grain bill results in a refreshing, assertive American IPA that emphasizes modern aromatic complexity without heavy sweetness.

Appearance. Deep gold (approximately 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, frothy white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit zest and lime from Citra, complemented by Nelson Sauvin’s signature crushed gooseberry and white wine character. Mosaic adds hints of blueberry and tropical mango. Low, clean, bready malt support with a neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial punch of citrus rind and tropical fruit. Hop flavors of passion fruit, grapefruit, and a distinct vinous character dominate the palate. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a crisp, crackers-like backbone. Firm, assertive bitterness that is clean and well-defined. The finish is very dry and crisp with a long-lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively, effervescent bite. A subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no hop-derived astringency.
