Belhaven’s Scottish Oat Stout is a luxurious, layered interpretation of an Oatmeal Stout, utilizing a complex mash of roasted barley and oats alongside three distinct malts. The oats drive the beer's trademark depth, providing a hallmark silky and velvety texture. Sensory cues of intense black coffee and dark chocolate dominate the profile, creating a decadent experience that remains approachable. The interplay of roasted grains and a supportive malty sweetness results in a rich, full-flavored stout. Appearance. Opaque black in color (SRM 40) with a thick, creamy, and persistent tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
