This classic Scottish Light pours a striking deep ruby, highlighting the richness of 100% Scottish malt. The sensory profile is defined by a deep-seated maltiness, offering inviting layers of toasted biscuits, warm caramel, and a signature nuttiness. Delicate English hops provide a subtle spicy counterpoint to the sugary toffee core. Despite its dark hue, the beer remains remarkably smooth and sessionable, finishing with a light roasty dryness that cleanses the palate. Appearance. 17–25 SRM. Deep copper to dark ruby-brown. Brilliant clarity with a low to moderate, creamy off-white head and light lacing.

Aroma. Low to medium intensity with a focus on malt. Rich notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted breadcrumbs predominate. Secondary notes of English biscuits and a light nuttiness are present. Low spicy and earthy English hop aroma with very light pome fruit esters.

Taste. Initial malt-forward impression of bready and toasty sugars. Mid-palate features caramel, toffee, and a distinct nuttiness. Hop flavor is low with a spicy character. Bitterness is low, providing just enough balance to prevent a cloying sensation. Finishes with a signature light roasty dryness and a clean, malty aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-low body with a smooth, moderately creamy texture. Low to moderate carbonation. No perceivable alcohol warmth, maintaining a light and refreshing mouthfeel.
