This Hazy IPA pours with a characteristic soft, opaque glow, inviting a sensory journey led by Citra, Idaho-7, and fresh 2024 harvest Riwaka. The aroma is a vibrant tapestry of bright orange, resinous pine, and sharp lemon zest. On the palate, the experience is decidedly juicy, offering layered notes of tropical pineapple and tangy passion fruit, balanced by a citrus-forward profile reminiscent of key lime pie. The mouthfeel is plush and pillowy, maintaining the style's hallmark drinkability while delivering a complex, hop-saturated profile that balances modern fruit intensity with a clean, supportive malt backbone and a smooth, off-dry finish.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (4-6 SRM). Opaque, hazy clarity with a luminous glow. Large, rocky, white meringue-like head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring lemon zest, sweet orange, and fresh pine needles. Clean, lightly bready, and grainy malt in the background. Neutral fermentation character with no caramel or toast notes.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor of pineapple and passion fruit, followed by a citrusy key lime pie character. Low to moderate bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. Neutral malt flavor supports the hops without adding sweetness. Finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
