VHS VIBES is a lush and juicy Hazy IPA that captures a nostalgic, tropical energy. A dynamic hop combination of Strata and Citra, enhanced by Citra Cryo, delivers an intense aromatic burst of ripe mango, vibrant pineapple, and bright citrus. The inclusion of Sabro introduces a distinctive, creamy hint of coconut that rounds out the fruit-forward profile. Its pillowy-soft mouthfeel and smooth finish emphasize the depth of hop oils over sharp bitterness. This expression highlights a modern, fruit-heavy character, balancing bready malt undertones with a complex, multi-layered wave of Pacific Northwest and New World hop intensity.
Appearance. Deep gold (5-6 SRM) with a heavy, opaque haze and a brilliant shine. Crowned by a dense, rocky, white meringue-like head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatic profile dominated by tropical fruit (mango, pineapple) and bright citrus. Substantial notes of sweet coconut from Sabro are present. The malt provides a clean, lightly bready background without toast or caramel notes.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of juicy mango and pineapple, followed by layers of orange and lime zest. A subtle creaminess suggests coconut and stone fruit. Malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet, supporting the hops. Bitterness is low-to-moderate and well-integrated, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish with lingering tropical notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a characteristically soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the smooth mouthfeel. No harshness or astringency is present, with only a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
