Bådin Runway is a sophisticated Imperial Stout that highlights the premium character of Bonsak Fairytale malt. This deep, complex brew leads with intense aromas of espresso and bittersweet chocolate, characteristic of its heavily roasted grain bill. On the palate, the rich malt foundation provides flavors of charred toast and dark cocoa, balanced by a firm hop bitterness and subtle dark fruit esters like raisin and plum. The mouthfeel is exceptionally velvety and full, carrying the 9.3% alcohol with a smooth, integrated warmth rather than harshness. It finishes with a harmonious, lingering roasted character that defines the classic style.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40). It forms a dense, persistent deep tan head with excellent lacing. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and slight licorice. Moderately low esters of dried dark fruits such as prunes and figs are present. A clean, smooth alcohol warmth accompanies a very low earthy hop note.

Taste. Initial impression is a powerful surge of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and strong coffee. The mid-palate reveals toasted grain complexity and a hint of caramel sweetness. Bitterness is firm and well-balanced against the thick malt body. The finish is moderately dry and lingering, with a pleasant bittersweet chocolate and roasted grain aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a luscious, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A gentle, smooth alcohol warmth is present and well-integrated into the finish.
