The aroma leads with a vibrant bouquet of zesty sweet and bitter orange peel, underpinned by the perfumy, lemony character of coriander and a soft, bready wheat maltiness. On the palate, the Belgian yeast provides a subtle spicy backdrop to flavors of honeyed grain and citrus. This Witbier is exceptionally refreshing, finishing dry with crisp effervescence and a light, creamy mouthfeel. It balances delicate spice with a clean, vibrant fruit profile, making it a perfectly approachable, cooling ale.
Appearance. Very pale straw (3 SRM) with a distinct milky, whitish-yellow shine caused by starch haze and yeast. It features a dense, white, moussy head with very good retention.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with zesty, citrusy-orange fruitiness and perfumy coriander at the forefront. Features light grainy-spicy wheat aromatics and a moderate bready malt character often suggesting honey. Low spicy-herbal yeast esters are present; hop aroma is absent.
Taste. Initial impression is refreshingly crisp, followed by pleasant bready and grainy malt flavors. Moderate zesty orange and lemony coriander provide a bright herbal-spicy balance. Hop bitterness is low, supporting the fruit and spice without lingering. The finish is dry and clean with no harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, lightly creamy texture. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent character. No alcohol warmth or astringency is present, contributing to high drinkability.
