This opulent interpretation of an American Stout unfolds with an intense dessert-like richness inspired by crème brulée. The high ABV provides a substantial foundation for decadent layers of dark chocolate and silky smooth vanilla. Burnt brown sugar adds a deep, caramelized complexity that mirrors the crunchy topping of a crema catalana, while the inclusion of tonka bean introduces nuanced layers of almond and spice. Despite its sumptuous sweetness, the robust roasted grain profile ensures a firm backbone. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It supports a large, persistent, deep tan head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and heavy caramel. Distinctive vanilla and spicy, almond-like tonka bean notes are prominent, supported by a low citrusy hop character and smooth alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is very sweet and rich with custard-like qualities. Strong bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee flavors are balanced by a medium-high bitterness. alles wat je nodig hebt om een dessert te maken dat plakkerig, romig en oh zo dromerig is. Of je het nu kent als
crema catalana, crème brulée of zelfs Trinity cream – we denken dat we het er allemaal over eens kunnen zijn dat een roos
onder welke andere naam dan ook net zo zoet zou ruiken. Maar omdat deze bloem een grote banketbakkersstout is, konden we het niet laten om de knapperige gebarsten karamel en vla aan te vullen met decadente pure chocolade,
zijdezachte vanille en een vleugje tonkaboon. Soms moet je gewoon wat met de
traditie doen.
