This formidable Double IPA balances immense power with a surprisingly pillowy delivery. A dense, oat-laden grist provides a semi-sweet malt foundation and a distinctive silky texture that masks the significant 10% ABV. The sensory experience is dominated by an aggressive double dry-hopping regimen featuring Citra and Mosaic, which unleash a torrent of juicy tropical fruit, ripe mango, and bright citrus zest. While it leans into the modern interpretation with its soft mouthfeel and succulent hop profile, it maintains the requisite structural bitterness of a classic strong ale, resulting in a complex, resinous, and fruit-forward profile that lingers long after the finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (8-10 SRM) with a significant, persistent, off-white creamy head that leaves thick lacing. High haze with an opaque, juice-like appearance typical of heavy oat additions.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by pungent notes of ripe mango, passion fruit, and blueberry from the Mosaic, complemented by bright lime and grapefruit from the Citra. Supportive, grainy malt sweetness in the background with a soft, bready oat character and a clean, warm alcohol presence.

Taste. High hop flavor intensity with dominant tropical fruit, tangerine, and resinous pine. Initial malt impression is soft and semi-sweet, showing grainy wheat and silky oats. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth, never harsh. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering fruit-skin bitterness and clean alcohol warmth.
