Cult Leader is a contemporary American Pale Ale that masterfully integrates a heavy oat grist with a complex hop blend. The sensory experience is defined by a vivid tropical bouquet of pineapple and sweet melon, driven by the combination of Mosaic, Amarillo, and Strata hops. Sabro contributes a distinctive, creamy coconut note that harmonizes with the silken texture provided by the oats. This beer balances modern, fruit-forward hop intensity with the classic drinkability of the style. The result is a mesmerisingly smooth profile where vibrant citrus and tropical fruit layers are supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone and a soft, approachable bitterness.

Appearance. Pale golden to light amber (approx. 6 SRM) with a slight, protein-induced haze from the heavy use of oats. It features a large, creamy, off-white head with excellent retention and dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and stone fruits. Strata and Mosaic provide pungent notes of pineapple, ripe melon, and berry, while Sabro adds a unique coconut edge. Amarillo contributes a bright orange citrus layer. The malt aroma is low but present, offering a soft, bready, and grainy character. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. The palate follows the aroma with high hop flavor, delivering a 'sweet wedge' of melon, zesty orange, and pineapple. Sabro’s coconut character adds a subtle creaminess to the flavor profile. Bitterness is moderate and well-integrated, never harsh. The malt provides a neutral, grainy foundation that lets the hops shine. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with lingering tropical fruit and a soft citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a noticeably smooth, silken, and creamy texture derived from the oats. Carbonation is moderate and soft, contributing to a gentle mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth is perceived at 5% ABV, and there is no hop or grain astringency.
