Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM). Features a thick, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention and visible legs due to high viscosity.
Aroma. High intensity; rich roast with notes of bittersweet chocolate and coffee, accompanied by prominent toasted coconut, hazelnut, and sweet cookie dough. Low dark fruit esters of plum and raisin with a subtle, clean alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet with cookie dough and hazelnut dominance. Mid-palate reveals deep roasted malt, cocoa, and toasted coconut. Moderate to firm bitterness (approx. 60 IBU) provides essential balance against the malt sweetness. The finish is lingering and complex, showcasing a harmonious blend of roast, nuttiness, and smooth alcohol.
Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a chewy, velvety, and luscious texture enhanced by oats. Carbonation is low to moderate. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth provides a comforting background character.
