This Double IPA from 7 Vidas is a high-impact sensory experience delivering 9% ABV and 90 IBU in a deep copper pour. The profile is dominated by an aggressive double dry hop regimen of American hops, bursting with vibrant notes of zesty citrus, lush tropical fruit, and a resinous pine backbone. Despite its formidable strength and massive bitterness, the beer remains remarkably drinkable thanks to a medium body and a crisp, dry finish that avoids the cloying weight of a barleywine. It strikes a sophisticated balance between extreme alpha acid bitterness and aromatic saturation, making it a definitive step up for seasoned enthusiasts.

Appearance. Copper color (9 SRM) with good clarity. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that exhibits excellent lacing and retention.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma displaying high concentrations of grapefruit, mango, and resinous pine from North American hops. A supportive, neutral, and slightly grainy malt character resides in the background. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of citrus and tropical hop flavors. Bitterness is high and assertive but remains smooth rather than harsh. A low, clean malt backbone provides just enough support for the hop-forward balance. The finish is decisively dry, leading into a long, lingering, resinous aftertaste with minimal residual sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. A noticeable but pleasant alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength, without any harsh astringency.
