For this Hommage, we blended a kriekenlambik and frambozenlambik in a forth-sixty proportion and with a final fruit intensity of 529 grams of fruit per liter of hommage. The weighted average maceration time was five months, and we used both jone and two-year old lambik from seven barrels and eleven brews. This bottle was left for a year in our warm room before its release.

Pours a nice bright reddish with a violet tinge- somewhat hazy and gets hazier as the pours continue. The nose is sour, dry, and dusty with some raw oak and tart seedy raspberries. Aroma is bitingly tart fruits, rotten berries, burnt rubber, lemon juice and wet earth. Musty basement in there as well. Taste is sour fruit, berries, sour cherry, lemon juice, vinegar/acetic acid, wet wood and damp basement. Light cat piss as well. Body is light and slick. A very good lambic with a serious funk and acidic punch on tongue but with enough fruit to pull it off. Good stuff and extremely refreshing.
