Sinds 2015 verschijnt ongeveer elk jaar een nieuwe, unieke variant van de Oude Geuze Boon met een geheel eigen assemblage. Deze verschillende ‘Black Label’-edities hebben telkens een hoogst originele smaak, maar staan allemaal voor echte volmondigheid en een droge afdronk.
Naar aanleiding van de 40ste verjaardag van Brouwerij Boon lanceerden we in 2015 de eerste editie van onze Oude Geuze Boon Black Label. Dit bijzondere bier maken we met een selectie van lambiekbieren uit de eiken vaten – onze foeders - met de hoogste vergistingsgraad: daarin zijn quasi alle vergistbare suikers ook daadwerkelijk vergist. Voor de ‘Black Label’ de brouwerij verlaat, rijpt hij nog minstens een jaar in onze kelders.
De zeer hoge vergistingsgraad maakt de Oude Geuze Boon Black Label extra droog. Tegelijk is dit bier heel volmondig, dankzij de componenten die worden gecreëerd door de wilde gisten. Omdat deze speciale variant van de Oude Geuze Boon in de smaak blijft vallen, maken we ongeveer elk jaar een nieuwe editie, die telkens weer een beetje anders is. Intussen kan je al verschillende edities ontdekken.
Vintage
Oude Geuze Boon Black Label krijgt telkens een ander editienummer per nieuwe assemblage. Elke editie is dus uniek. De ‘Black Label’-edities delen alvast de combinatie van een droge afdronk met een volmondig gevoel. Toch zijn er ook heel wat aromatische verschillen tussen de verschillende edities.
