Oude Geuze Boon Black Label is the driest geuze Boon makes. Combining a full-bodied taste with a very high fermentation degree is a big challenge. This geuze has a clear golden body with lively carbonation, balanced sourness and flavours of green apple and grapefruit. This is finished off with a long bone-dry aftertaste. The Lambics used for this blend aged for 1, 2 and 3 years on oak casks. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

In the complex whole you can still notice a light, wine-like oak wood touch on top of the soft-sour undertone that brings the flavors together in a balanced way.

Quinta edizione della Oude Gueze Black Label, gueze nata nel 2015 per celebrare il 40° anniversario del birrificio. Preparata come la canonica Oude Geuze (sempre un blend di 1,2,3 anni) ma ha la peculiarità che lo speciale lavoro dei brettomyces in questo caso riesce a raggiungere una attenuazione record che sfiora quasi il 100 %. Al naso note di cuoio, pompelmo e mela verde. L'acidità è quella classica ed elegante di casa Boon, anche se la maggiore secchezza, oltre a renderla più rinfrescante e dissetante, la fa apparire lievemente più accentuata.
