Blend of lambic macerated with organic cherries and cider. The fruit is blended with lambic then macerated for months. After this, the lambic matures further on barrel. The final blend with cider is done just before bottling.

Zomerkriek from Het Boerenerf is a seasonal lambic-based fruit beer crafted with organic sour cherries and about 35% fresh cider. The cherries are macerated in lambic for several months, with the blend continuing to age in oak barrels before a final pre-bottling mix with cider.

The pour is a deep ruby-red, reflecting its cherry-forward character. Aromas and flavors include ripe tart cherry, apple, wood, mild barnyard funk, and soft acidity. The palate is lively and tart, with fruit intensity balanced by cider freshness and a touch of oak-derived tannin . Minimize sweetness — this is a more restrained, refreshing take on kriek.
