Still Good News About The Chocolate Orange – Black Iris

This big birthday stout was brewed back in Oct 2019 on our friends at Brew Cavern’s 5th birthday to sleep in bourbon barrels for a year till their 6th birthday. Dark malts and brown sugars combine with cacao nibs to add depth with a host of treacle, coffee and chocolate notes. After a year in barrels, the beer was left to condition even longer with fresh orange peel and whole vanilla pods to cut through and smooth out this beast of a beer.

Drink fast for brighter orange flavours or leave to rest, the choice is yours.

*This beer has a BBD of end Nov 2021, but I believe will evolve over time and be great for long after that.
