Alefarm Brewing High Seas (Bourbon Barrel Blend)

High Seas, Bourbon Barrel is a Baltic Porter aged in Bourbon barrels from for 9 months. 11.8% ABV, 375 ml. Best before March 2028. Ingredients: malt (barley, oat, wheat), hops, yeast and water. The two different bottle editions saw different barrel treatments: the Bourbon Barrel rested in American bourbon casks for 9 months, while the Port Wine Blend showcases the beer aged for 10 month in Portuguese Port Wine barrels. Expect a smooth & luxurious drinking experience from the base Baltic Porter, with loads of chocolate, caramel, and dark dried fruit. American bourbon brings notes of vanilla and spice to the Bourbon Barrel edition, while the Port Wine barrel edition has additional tannins and red berry character from the Portuguese wine barrels.
